“Celiac disease, and, more generally, gluten intolerance, is a growing problem worldwide, but especially in North America and Europe… Symptoms include nausea, diarrhea, skin rashes, macrocytic anemia and depression. It is a multifactorial disease associated with numerous nutritional deficiencies as well as reproductive issues and increased risk to thyroid disease, kidney failure and cancer. Here, we propose that glyphosate, the active ingredient in the herbicide, Roundup®, is the most important causal factor in this epidemic.

To sum it up, our industrial farming processes in America have become corrupted. Chronic inflammation and other diseases are at an all time high. On top of that, food has become a bank breaker for many people. Our pain and ailments have become a profitable business. We have become so reliant on companies when it comes to our health. Once I realized these businesses generate billions of dollars every year off of sick people, it made sense that they wouldn’t want a healthy society.
“Herbicides containing glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup, are used on almost half of all planted acres of corn, cotton, and soybeans in the United States. The Center for Food Safety says that 280 million pounds of glyphosate are sprayed annually on 285 million acres of U.S. farmland, which is about the size of three Californias.”

Lung diseases, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma
Mental illnesses, such as depression

I believe it’s important to recognize the issues. However, a thought without action is merely a dream.. in this case a nightmare. We can only put our attention to what’s in our control. Which is what inspired me to create Kay’s Blooms & Botanicals. Ok Ok, now for the good news!
The Good News!
“The true power of herbs lies in their wealth of protective polyphenols — plant compounds with potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Piles of studies show that polyphenols in herbs help combat such diseases as cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer's, diabetes and more.”

Now, for legal reasons I have to say I am not a medical professional, which is true. However, these statistics/facts are proof that the root cause majority of the illnesses that exist, especially in the U.S, is inflammation. Earlier, we read that the leading cause of inflammation is lifestyle. Based on the evidence above, I’ve concluded that if we collectively take control over our health we will see a huge shift in the current health crises we are all witnessing currently.
“Fruits and vegetables contain important vitamins, minerals and plant chemicals. They also contain fibre… A diet high in fruit and vegetables can help protect you against cancer, diabetes and heart disease.
